I'm Dean E. Hill, and I'm running for election this fall for State Representative in Michigan’s 78th district (D). I'm running for State Representative so I can provide Michiganders the right to receive quality public education, a healthy environment, quality infrastructure, worker’s rights, healthcare, and more. My Michigan roots give me a solid understanding of the issues we all face, and I will proudly represent you in Lansing as I fight to restore Michigan to a state we can be proud to call home.
MY PLAN FOR PROTECTING MICHIGAN'S ENVIRONMENT FOCUSES ON:
As a former public school teacher, I have witnessed our state government continue to pass policies and legislation that are detrimental to our public education system.
IMPROVING MICHIGAN'S PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOCUSES ON TEACHER RIGHTS, STANDING UP TO CHARTER SCHOOLS, AND FOCUSING ON PRACTICAL SECONDARY EDUCATION.
A solid infrastructure is essential to improving the quality of life for residents of southwest Michigan, and provides future generations with access to safe roads and sidewalks.
CREATING QUALITY INFRASTRUCTURE IN MICHIGAN INVOLVES:
Everyone deserves access to high-quality, affordable healthcare. I plan to support initiatives to provide health services for all Michigan residents, protect women's health, and fight to ensure we all have access to health insurance, despite preexisting conditions.
MY PLAN FOR BUILDING THE FOUNDATION FOR A HEALTHIER MICHIGAN BEGINS IN OUR COMMUNITIES:
Without our workers, Michigan has no economy. There is no reason any Michigan resident shouldn't have access to good-paying jobs and fair treatment in the workplace.
I WILL FIGHT TO PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF WORKERS IN MICHIGAN.
